Where would be the best place to installthe deck conection for shore poweron a 1984 - 25.5 Hunter -- and the best place to locate the braker box in the cabin.

Shore Power

Bob Mine is on the Port side oppiste of the engine controls. Its a out of the way spot and has caused no trouble in this spot. The Breaker box is on the stern in the quarter berth. It is also in a out of the way spot,and has been know trouble. I feel this is the best place because it is out of the way and does not interfer with anything and it is hidden from view the plug is not very good looking on a sailboat anyways. Cliff

RE: Shore Power Connection

Bob: On my '84 25.5 the shore connection is on the inside of the port-side cockpit coaming, all the way forward near the cabin bulkhead. The breaker is located in the companionway bulkhead right next to the DC electric panel. This makes for a very short, direct cable run to the breaker. The only drawback I've found is that when plugged in you can't stretch out on the cockpit seat with your back up against the cabin.
