So much ahas been said about tow vehicles but based on experience with more miles under my belt than anyone else towing the Hunter water ballast boats, I can say a Ford Explorer with a 6 cylinder can pull a 26 or 260. Most people must realize that you cannot accelerate fast with any load, so take your time. As for going uphill, you are going to slow down which is a fact of life. Plan on towing what is comfortable to you but forget doing 70 mph which is crazy for the unexperieced.
