I am interested in the Doyle Spinnaker for the 240 at the chandlery. Does anyone have any advice?--- is the boat overpowered?, what hardware is required?, where did you attache the spinnaker pole? Has anyone bought a comparable sail in Cada to avoid or capitalize on the exchage rate?

The APC from Doyle is a neat sail...

The boat is not over powered. I had to install a spinnaker halyard, deck organizer, rope clutch, and blocks on the stern rails and pulpit rail. I highly recommend the sail for costal cruising but not for lake sailing where frequent tacking or jibing is required. A steady wind is very desirable. The dousing sock is a must have.

Spinnaker pole is not required with the APC . . .

I forgot to mention this in the previous post. Unless they've a symetrical in the HOW store we are talking about an asymetrical spinnaker that attaches to the forestay (or roller furler).
