Recently, We experienced a very heavy gale which I noticed popped the port stay deckplate. My question is, does anyone know how the stays are attached into the hull? If it is a wishbone configuration, then I probably didn't compromise integrity. If it is fiberglassed, I'm afraid I have compromised integrity. Thank You. David A.

I'll Try To Take A Look

When I'm up at the boat this weekend. I've got a 1972 23' O'Day on Lake Lanier, Georgia. Responses to similar problems on this site indicate that on some boats you have to cut through the cabin walls/liner to get to the fittings. Maybe this won't be the case with ours!

Owner of 23 needs Photos.

Hello, I don't have info for you since I just purchased my 1971 23; am looking for any pics. that might help re=do caabin since it was stripped of everthing but head, sink, cushions, and a few other items. I would be more than happy to send you money if you could take photos of your 23(cost to cover expenses). Thank you in advance. DBallT@aol.com

Wow

David - I'm sure this has occurred to you, but if one could pop, so could the others. I would go over everything to make sure that you are not risking a catasrophic failure. As to the attachment method, a friend has a 23 - I'll ask him. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
