Thanks Steve. One more thing, the 23 I may buy is on trailor right now and the owner is a student and can't put it in the water, is the center board mechanics an issue, should I make sure I see it work before I buy? Thanks, Jeff
Can't say I have a great deal of experience with the centerboard issue I read about on this site. Much related to this in the archives. Would suggest starting there. I didn't have an opportunity to sail my boat prior to acquiring it. I was lucky I guess, mine worked perfectly even though my boat sat for a couple years. Others have had it the other way. It's my intention to check it when the yard slings it this week to perform the bottom work. I was able to swim under the boat last year while it was down and do a cursory check of the shackle and line. Unless your willing to pay to have it hoisted off the trailer you'll have to take the PO's word for it. Good luck! Steve
