Johnson makes a model 1420 which I think would work for me, BUT they only supply dealers (West Marine) in packages of 2, and most store managers don't want to order 2 just for one retail sale. Retail price is in the low 70's. West Marine is checking through their computer network and so far no store has a single lever for sale. Do you know of any used rigging sources. Next time you are in your local West Marine store maybe you could ask for a Johnson model 1420 quick release lever and see if the manager would sell just one and I'll buy it from you and pay the shipping.

WM store mgr ordered what I wanted and had it shipped direct to the house.
It's called a 'highfield lever' and available from many sources. APS carries them, here's the link
