23.5 Bimini

Yesterday, my wife and I installed our new Ameriseam bimini on our H23.5. It took a call to the company for expanded installation instructions, but with their knowledgable staff, we got it installed. It appears to be excellent construction and extra screws were included (in case the watery depths claims one or two).

I'm pretty much a klutz at these types of efforts, so if I can do handle the job, it speaks well of the company and the product.

I am in need of a bimini on my 25.5 and am buying Monday...the Central Texas heat is unmerciful. I too am no handyman. Where did you get it and how much was it may I ask.

The company's name is Ameriseam and they have a website. I believe it is ameriseam.net. I believe I paid $320 for mine but yours will be a bit higher as your boat is larger. They have them available in all the common colors to match your mainsail cover. Good luck and fair winds.

We were teachers also (retired). It may be more expensive due to the smaller number of boats produced. I don't know how much a canvas maker would charge to custom make one for your boat.

The stainless steel is 940...the aluminum is 400 something. A sailmaker here at Lake Travis is telling me that the foot of the main sail needs to be cut and the boom raised a little to get room for the top of the bimini on the 25.5...wants 1K for the whole job...wondering if other 25.5 owners with biminis can confirm or deny this.

just installled the bimini from this store on my 25.5 and found it to be almost easy. Only problem was the placement on the coaming was a couple of inches too far back. No problem with boom interference but I personally will have to sew a window in it, I do not like not being able to see the telltales.
