222 vs a 25

Can anyone tell me the galley/cabin height of a 25 compared to a 222. My 222 is around 4 feet. Wondering if a 25 is much taller. Love my 222 bus wish I could stand up in the galley.

Never been on a 25. My last boat O'day 240 had 5'7 clearance in the cabin.

I'm 5'7", and I can't stand anywhere inside my Mac 25, unless the poptop is up.

I'm 6' and can not stand up straight in my O'day 25 but almost. Ceiling height is probably 2-3" under 6'.

My wife is just under 5'7" and can stand up in the O'day 25 in the aft cabin, forward is lower cabin height. Better then 4' for sure...

Are you coming down to Guntersville Lake for an O'Day 25? There are a couple for sale, one I looked at the beginning of this year and it is terrible in person vs the pictures they show. The other is in my marina and is in fair condition with some nice extras.

I am 5' 8" and I cannot stand in the salon area fully. However under the hatch gives me enough clearance to stand fully.

My bad, I thought you were comparing Macgregor 222's and 25's. I didn't pay attention to what forum the original post was in.

You asked about the 25 and 222 but, since headroom is a concern, I will note that my O’Day 23-1 has about 6’2” standing room when its pop-top is up. This was important to me when I chose the boat because I have spent many years in the cabin of a smaller boat and was certain that I wanted standing head room this time around.
