I'd consult a local sail loft about what the recommend. There really isn't a "standard" storm-jib for the 222.

This company lists them by boat length. According to their chart, the smallest size would be appropriate for your 22 footer.

I have to ask, why do you want a storm jib on a 22 foot Oday that is sailed on a small inland lake?
I would have through that you would just get off the water pronto, or even better not go out. Sailing in storm conditions normally banks on you having enough water to sail what ever the best course is without fear of of the shore. That rarely happens on small lakes.

Thanks everyone for your comments and advice. I don't know how I missed the 'Sail Warehouse' site, but I think the smaller size storm jib is the way to go. I plan on spending about a month sailing on the south side of Lake Michigan with my brother this year. This little cruise is the reason for the storm jib. Thanks all, George
Good idea. I had a small jib made for my 17' Daysailer, and we mostly sail on a small inland lake. The point is to be able to stay out on the water safely in a wider variety of conditions. No one (including Hyde and Sailwarehouse) makes an off-the-shelf storm jib for a boat as small as mine, but I took an old Neil Pryde standard jib (I think it's 115%) and had it cut down at a local loft to about a 95%.
