222 rudder dimensions/photos please...

Hi All, My 222 has a very tired and inefficient rudder. With winter upon us, there will be time to fabricate a new one. I don't have $370 + $hipping available to order one. I have checked the archives, and see that several of you have built your own replacement rudders. Would you please share your knowledge/dimensions/photos/plans? Rudder Pics

Hi Mary, Here (related link) are pictures of my O'Day 20 rudder. It's 1" thick (actual not nominal) wood with aluminum side plates and stainless hardware. The tiller has copper rivets to prevent splitting. It weighs a ton but should outlast the boat. Your rudder should be slightly bigger? MArk
