Sure, I will take a few photos and post them. Tom, the cable connected to the board from the hydraulic sheared off the centerboard itself - a potential cause is overtightening the hydraulic. I was unable to raise it as a result. The cable normally is under a tremendous amount of strain even when the board is down. Because without it and going over waves, the board would swing and lurch the entire boat forward - guess i'm lucky it didn't cause any structural damage to the boat or to the centerboard assembly. My 216 is a 2004 - that year and before had problems with the centerboard design. Evidently, this design has changed and makes it less likely that this will occur.
