What a great 3 weeks it's been! We first attended the 19th annual C-22 North Gulf Coast Cruise a couple weeks ago. We had 21 boats participate in the cruise this year. During the week after the NGCC and the C-22 Nationals we spent some time sightseeing around the area. We cruised past Ft Pickens and the historic Pensacola lighthouse. So after the cruise we drove to these sites for a closer look. Extremely interesting!

We'll be leaving in about 6 weeks to attend the annual C-22 Great Lakes Cruise. Can't wait to finally participate in this event that we've followed for years.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, our boats are a lot of fun, but the friendships we've developed from attending the events sure makes the boat even more enjoyable. Get to know the other C-22's in your area and start really having some fun!

One day... one day...

I'm hoping to get out to the "Lowisa" this year. (local cruise/race on Lake of the Woods), but I'd love to get out and hang with some C22 people. With luck, we can be at the 2017 Great Lakes gathering.

Great shots.
I hope you were successful with "converting" that power boat interloper in the 2nd photo. :)

Leeward, That power boater couple are former long time C-22 cruisers. They are Snow Birds from Indiana and live on the boat at least 6 months out of the year, and the boat has completed the Great Loop! Plus, we usually have a powerboat as an escort just incase someone runs into trouble.

Jacktar, what was the name of your boat? I tried to get photos of all the boats cruising and at anchor. I might have a photo of your boat.

6 months ? It looks small. What length is it ?
Traitors... err former sailors ? Well ok.. i guess they can hang out. In the very least they can carry & power the beer fridge ;)

I think we may have been moored next to that guy at last year's B.E.E.R cruise, or a guy with a similar story and similar boat. He was alone though, no Admiral.

We'll all have trawlers like that someday, when we get too old to sail. My parents did. They kept right on having fun, island-hopping the Caribbean, running around nekkid on deserted islands.

I'll probably not be able to afford the fuel by then.
I'll be in the rusted steel hulled pilothouse cutter (which would hopefully previously been a nice condition boat that has spent a bunch of time in high lattitudes :) )
You can be my support/tow vessel. :D

That said... I figure a "fisher" would be a nice boat when I'm an older fart and win a small lottery. (if i win the big lottery i'd buy a sundeer in a second)

My boat is Seagull III, but i was anchored out at McRae not on the beach, dinghied in and back. Out by Irish rover in the burbs.
