Here's a whole bunch. Sorry...I just take a lot of pics!

6. Absecon Light. Taken with the iPhone. This was not retouched or photoshopped. Apparently iPhone doesn't take good pictures moving laterally....except in this case. I almost erased it. turned out like an old AC postcard since there are no casinos in sight!

A few pics. I wish it was summer over again. Let's fast forward to spring 2012.
The Mutts after a a long dingy ride in with the new dingy motor (I hate ethanol - hosed up my last dingy motor). Rafting up with friends, riding at anchor (time for a BBQ and drinks), Mutt #2 smelling morning bacon sizzling on the grill. He earned a strip - he found my port leak. And the chicken hanging from the halyard was always a welcome sight. made me laugh.

Lake Erie Sail
Here's a couple from a week we spent hopping islands in Lake Erie in August. The first is the sunset after a day of 25-30mph winds. We had docked here at Kellys Island the day before and decided to stay another day. The second is the following morning before heading out to Rattlesnake Island. The third is Put-in-Bay from Gibraltar Island. Wish it was spring already.

some of real ligth wind with a bug in the sail, some of the futur sailor, some of family, some of a cloud that followed me like a cartoon caracter, and one of the sun setting with the sexiest captain in the foreground....Me! all in all a very good season despite the weather!

Here's a few
It was a very nice summer.
1. Sailing out the Rappahannock River in a fresh breeze.
2. An all girls cruise (the admiral and her sister are not pictured - these are the daughters).
3. An F-18 out of Patuxent River NAS doing touch and go's early one morning. He was directly overhead, and I also captured him in surround sound with the video camera.
4. Tied up in Crisfield, MD.
It was a very nice summer.

That looks like a Krogen 42 trawler on your port side. My FIL had one for 26 years. Really nice boat (single screw), but I wouldn't want to maintain it.
He once told me that if he had it to do all over again, he'd have gotten into sailing. He said that, of course, while out on a sail with me on my Hunter 340.
Crisfield
Crisfield seems to have fallen on hard times and is no longer the hopping metropolis once known as the 'Seafood Capital of the World'. The town was very quiet mid-week, but the marina did lock its gates at night. We spent some time chatting with a couple behind us who have been in the same slip for 40 years. The gentleman owned a seafood distribution business. He and his sons (now including grandsons) deliver to the DC area every day.
We also toured the local museum and the antique stores. The museum was very interesting and the old guy whose wife ran the antique store was quite the character. He was originally a hog farmer from North Carolina but came to Crisfield in the mid-1970's. Told me he ate ham every day of his life until he moved to Maryland. He had a quadruple by-pass a couple of years back - go figure! He now makes false teeth in the back of the antique store - even showed me his tools and the set of dentures he was making for a young woman in town. He told me she was 22 or so. Hard times indeed.
That was a good looking trawler. We did not get the opportunity to meet the owner.
