I would like to change my plastic raw water strainers for the engine and AC with Grocco bronze strainers. Anybody knows the size of the thread. The hoses are 5/8 ID.

Why
Just wondering why and not a whole lot of room as it is and hard
to just unscrewing and cleaning.
I have 3 of them under floor.
My 2007 H-36 do a great job.

Two reasons:
1. When surveyed the boat last year, the surveyors mentioned that the plastic strainers are not rated for underwater applications. I am a bit suspicious about that as these came with the boat from Hunter.
2. I like the grocco layout where you can remove the strainer from the top. This will also allow me to use the seaflush funnel to winterize.

Yes looks good but be careful with flush kit and not good idea to run pressured
water into flush kit.
