200W solar vs 2000W generator?

... I fail to see what would be nice about having shorepower and not plugging into it.

In the BVIs at the Sopers Hole (Pussers?) marina the dock hand said the AC was metered. Went to check out the next day and the office said it was a flat $25. I didn't need AC at all, really.
