I am a new owner of a basic model 2008 H27 that does not have a traveller. Do your prefer the cabin top or cockpit mounted model? Any suggestions for brands of kits that would be suitable. The bridge models I've noticed are much more expensive, I assume because of the high stress loading. Are there sources for good used traveller? Any help is appreciated.

Congratulations on your new sailboat and welcome to the forum!!

Your manual said the traveler was optional and there is a diagram in Figure 12.11 of your manual. My Hunter 31 traveler was on the cabin ahead of the companionway and I liked it there since it did not take up space in the cockpit movement. Other Hunter 27 owners will have an opinion about traveler location. Lots of traveler suppliers............Garhauer, Harken, Lewmar, Ronstan, etc. Link to one possible used traveler supplier below. If it was my boat I would purchase new so it fits your sailboat. Please post a photo of your project.

Thanks for your reply. Downsizing and the current boat has a cockpit continuous line traveller that does get in the way, I've downloaded the manual and will do some more research.
