I have a 2007 25 Hunter. Its a great boat but I do have a few issues with it. Has anyone figured out how to lift the rudder all the way out of the water when its moored. It only comes half way up, so I have left it down over the past six weeks and it bangs all over the place, loosing bolts etc. Any suggestions would be great appreciated.

I just fixed mine
I just removed all the lifting hardware from mine. After you do that it will pivot completely out of the water. Not straight up like the older hunters, but well out of the water. I then use a rope and tie it up to the stern rail to hold it in place. You don't really need all the hardware to lift it as the rudder floats and easily comes up when you loosen the cinch bolt. This makes it way quiter when moored too, as the rudder and steering assembly movement can keep you awake at night.
