Prop is said to be (by Volvo dealer service guy) only size offered for my saildrive MS25S with 2.2 gear ratio (55HP Volvo engine). He insists the spacer is proper and speculates the spline has "come forward" to cause the gap. I don't think so since the gap appeared when the new prop was installed 1.5 years ago. Ran fine for all this time but I am bothered by this gap. I think a "long hub" prop would restore the situation but he says not available in his computer choices. Old prop had no gap, shown by picture. Is this problem known to anyone???
2004 Bavaria 41 has puzzling gap between prop and cone. Dealer not sure what to say. Appears to be hub size issue.

Did they change the cone as well as the prop? Looks like some older style cones are not usable with newer model propellers.

Thanks, I think that is it! Old cone was used on new prop. new cone must cover spline and close gap.
