There aren't?

The 306 (and prior 290) is, I think you'll find shortly, one well-loved boat. It has enormous room for a 30', yet the cost and handling make it a very manageable boat. Have friends with a 28.5 who couldn't believe the difference in size. A lot of boat. If the cost is right, you'll like what you've found. Check the owners reviews, including the 290. Paul

We love our 290

I almost bought a 260 but my wife saw the 290 and we both fell in love. Our 2001 290 is the same boat as the 306,its a great easy boat to sail and plenty of room. I don't know too much about the 28.5,the 306 might not be a racer but its a great cruiser, the arch makes it real easy to sail. nick

306 is a Great boat

We bought our 2004 306 in September of 2003 so we’ve had it for about 18 months now. We moved up from a 1995 26. We couldn’t be happier with the boat. It has all the advantages of a larger boat without the additional costs. We use the boat mostly for weekend trips but took a trip from our home port (Apalachicola, FL) to Pensacola last spring that lasted 2 weeks. There were 2 adults and 2 kids on board and we didn’t feel cramped. We returned home using the off shore route and sailed 150 nm in about 29 hours. We caught the tail end of a cold front and had 20+ kt winds with 4-6 ft seas. The boat handled just fine. We’ve just recently added a dodger and I’m going to add AC in the next couple of weeks. The only problem area that we’ve noticed is the aft cabin does not have good ventilation. The addition of the AC should fix that. If the price is right, you just can’t go wrong. Randy
