I am having problems with the interior light switches in my 410. At times they require a rapid cycling of the toggle switch in order to turn on; at other times they don't come on at all. At best, some of the switches work erratically. That being said, My wife Nancy and I are extremely pleased with our 410.

Something to try

Something to try. We have a H450 and from time to time it seems like the light bulbs in our boat aren't making the greatest contact, even though the contacts are tight. We rotate the bulbs slightly and we have light. What I'm trying to say is that maybe the vibration of operating the switch is causing that slight movement that allows better contact. Hard to imagine all your switches going out at the same time.

I have the same problem,I think

I have a 2003 356.If you are talking about the little round flush lights with the switch,I have the same problem.I have 3 of them(out of maybe 5 or 6) that either dont work at all or work very intermittently.I think they are a piece of crap!!!!Waiting on my dealer to do something or send me replacements.

lites

Jeff, On my 98 410 I don't have toggle switches, but if your losing multiple lights could be the cabling. My lites are wired in parallel off two separate cables. If a connection breaks or is loose at one of the lites everything else down line won't work. Bryce S/V Spellbinder H410

Lights

Hey guys, I have a 99 380 with the same problem lights. The reason the lights quit working is the switch becomes corroded due to the design of our headliners being molded somewhat airtight thus causing moisture to accumulate around holes like at the light switch especially during colder times of the year. I have had to replace all of my lights. You can buy them at SWEGO.Com. Phone 941-355-4488 Intercon out of Sarasota Florida is the provider to Hunter. A lady by the name of Karen was my contact there. They are nice lights, just cheap switches.

Coating?

Light switches are problematical. I have had problems with ALL of them, not just the lights I have had in the two Hunters. I suspect the switches are not marine, and that includes the expensive lights on my 40.5. If you have priced replacements, you'll find they are not 'junk'. However, I found an electrical coating spray, and after I get the things working again, I'm going to spray them all.

Coating Spray

I use CRC-656 Spray on anything electrical that is important. Don't have any lighting or corrosion problems. It even dried out a mobilphone that went swimming. Great stuff.

No light switch problems here

Interesting that we have never had any light switch problems on our 1997 h340. :) We have now had our Wind Drift for over 6 years. The CRC spray is probably an excellent idea. The CRC spray is also US Coast Guard rated for carriage and storage aboard a vessel. Wayne & Janet
