Hi Everyone,
In a new to me Bene as above, there are plastic (PVC) bug screens for operable windows. They are somewhat sophisticated with a lot of items of unknown to me functions and it must have been a nightmare to fabricate. And they do not stay where they are supposed to and it is a miracle that I did not loose any of them. In addition they can be installed only from outside and only when the window is open. Bad design, sorry Beneteau. But I still love the boat though.
I was thinking of fabricating something simple that can be quickly installed from inside and easy removeable. Thought about Velcro, but perhaps small magnets epoxied to the frame (aluminum) may be more elegant solution. I am a fresh water sailor, so carbon steel frame that would stick to the magnets should last if properly coated.
Has anyone come up with any better solution?
