Hi Billy, most all Hunter hulls were solid FRP below the waterline and balsa above. Deck mixed. Some balsa and other parts marine grade plywood.

On my 1991 Passage 42 I had to dig into the deck to repair a soggy area up by the bow where Hunter had the original holes for the furling line to go down into the anchor locker. That area, across the bow and aft about six feet, was all balsa core.
