In my seemingly never ending line replacement project, I am now replacing all the lines controlling the mainsail and boom.
Has anyone replaced their Outhaul line? In my manual, this page is lacks the most detail.
I am looking for line lengths, size, eyes in the line, etc.
Any details would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I replaced mine on my 33.5- on mine there was a pulley inside the boom for added purchase. I was able to access the pulley from the aft part of the boom. Once you have run the line thru the blocks sew and tape new line to old line and pull it thru the forward part of the boom. I don't remember the diameter maybe 3/8 and for length I measure the length of the boom plus the distance from boom to deck and then distance from mast back to the cockpit where it belayed. I didn't splice the line onto the blocks but used a buntline hitch instead.

Hi nveater,
Thank you for the reply. If I understand this correctly, you have removed the End Boom Fitting piece and there you found the pulley? I believe mine is 3/8 in, but that's easy enough to verify when I'm ready to replace the line.
I do know that the stainless steel cable is attached to the Outhaul fitting riding along the top of the boom, but not really sure of its connection to the line itself. I'll be at the boat this weekend and I'll start the process of removal. I'll be sure to take som pictures to show the setup I have.
Thanks again and I'll post and update soon.
