Works OK if you have some wind.

Actually this feature works pretty well close hauled. When the Sea talk is connected to the ST60Wind, you can press the Standby and Auto button at the same time and the auto pilot will correct for wind shift.

The 310 is pretty easy sailing. As Witz (and PaulJ) stated the Raymarine AP works pretty well, especially if matched to the ST60 wind. It will also accept your track commands from your GPS. Set-up is fairly simple as long as you don't accept the install manual too literally (sometimes the instructions require a mental leap). You will really love your boat as the 310's handle very well and are a bit forgiving. Not the fastest boat on the race course, but solid.

We had a C&C 24 before this boat. Plus a friend at the dock has an open 30 that flies if we want to go fast (for a sail boat).

We wanted a cruiser that had the comforts and could do some decent distance cruising. We can't wait to get up to Maine or down to NYC and further south.

Man, I wish this snow would just stop and spring would get here.
