I haven't read

Haven't seen where this collision ocured, or which way the un manned boat was going, but if I remember this area correctly, surely no one would be running on auto pilot coming into here from the north. Or heading out to the north for that matter. Thats pretty twisty right out of town, in the river and there is a pretty narrow railroad bridge not far out. Pretty open out the other way though, so must have been there.

Timo42, that's why I have a back up remote.

We'll be going out on Sat the 19th from MDR with Tim from Tahoe. He'll be going out with Novelman. If you want to join me you're welcomed. I'd like to try flying the spinnaker I've never used. Frank

Time for the "Callous Up" mode.

Sometimes things, events, comments or reactions to these actions are so outrageous that they defy understanding. It appears very possible that someone died or was otherwise severly affected so as to result in this accident. To use this type of action as a ploy to drop out of society, take a leak or otherwise advance some other absurd cause really stretches creditability. At work, when we ran into these situations we used the expression "callous up". This simply meant there was nothing but futility to be gained by trying to understand the reason for the comments expressed. After reading my post I must admit that you also should apply my own action to myself, with or without cause. Sadly, someone probably didn't come home and as a fellow sailor I will grieve for his loss. Ray
