2 Questions: 1- we are putting life line netting on our boat because of our dog. However, being an artist and being aware of white and light relection, I think we would be able to see through the netting better if it was black instead of white. Has anyone tried to dye the netting black? 2- from general sailing experience, what 'items' do you generally carry extra of, just in case it falls overboard? Eyeglasses, of course, but any other recommendations? Thanks for your time! Jule & Carl & Lazy 8, all soon to be sailing on our new H340 'Syzygy'

Safety Netting

I tried the safety netting sold through Boats/US. Was disappointed that it lasted only one year, and at $1.00 a foot didn,t please me to much either. Recommend you talk to some of your local commercial fishermen and their supplier on the best netting to use. I plan to try different netting this year and will turn a report next year on how it works out. Good Luck.
