Hi all

as promised here are the first photos of my wife and i on board our new H235. Sadly due to work we could only spend 1 day ... but the deck is coming up nice and clean....

We are back off this weekend to get the cleaning finished and have a sail !!!!

We do want to replace the carpet on the walls down below as it is a little old and stained in some areas - has any one got any good iddeas of how we can do this and what to replace it with....

Not familiar with the interior of your model, but I replaced the wall covering on my H26. Used a gray I/O carpet from Depot and it turned out beautifully! not hard work, but needs to be done carefully and a lot of attention paid to the seams. The key for me was in removing as much of the glue and fuzz from the original covering as possible. It made a HUGE difference on the atmosphere below decks!

Check out "Owner Modifications" and look at New Interior. Looks like they took some stained beadboard or panels and stuck it onto the carpeting with velcro. Looks great.

just so happen to be a carpetbagger here so as for the install avoid the carpet seams the dimensions are such that you can easily utilize 12'wide carpet and have little waste and still maintain each wall as one piece with no seams , next the warmer it is in your area the better the glue sets better as well as the warmer temps make your cp more pliable therefore will stick faster "less inchin down the wall " if you can get the wife to help get the piece dry laid against the wall prior to any glue now fold half the carpet "left to right , right to left " not folded up and down , now get wife to hold the folded rug and glue the wall then lay it back in place aand rub when it starts to tack up then use a carpet driver" wide chisel will work tuck and crease where the cuts need to be made and zip through slowly with fresh utility blade and change blades often , cut the loose strings with shears and tuck behind plastic /into corners ect. easy workl start with smallest wall and get the feel of it as you work the bigger areas.

Hi Bill
the pop top was on the boat when i got it, ill check out the manufacturer this weekend. I understand from the broker that he made a modification to the metal bar that supports the cover with a bend to the rear to make more room..
