Hello,
Has anyone ever changed the cutlass bearing on a 461 without dropping the rudder and pulling the shaft ? In other words can it be pushed out from the inside ?
Also, does anyone have the dimensions for a replacement bearing ? (and an online supplier ?)
Thanks in advance.
Bill

On my Ben361 to change the cutlass bearing you simply need to remove the propeller and then find a way to pull it (usually it's not hard; these things are not stuck, just make sure you remove the two screws holding it). There's no need to remove the shaft or drop the rudder. I believe the same applies for the Ben461.

On my Bene, you just remove the prop, remove two set screws and the "cutlass bearing", a plastic sleeve, slides off the end of the shaft.
