We have recently purchased a 1996 42S7. The Navigation station located to port, next to the bench seating amid ships, is not very friendly to the navigator. It faces aft and has no seat back. One sits sort of perched on the end of the bench. Has anyone faced and fixed this problem or have any suggestions. We desire good solid comfort for an ocean passage. In its current configuration the navigator could easily be thrown from her station. Not to mention the fatigue inherent in such a seating situation. Thanks!
