1995 Hunter 37.5 Legend Replacement

Lost my boat to Ivan. Absolutely loved her and her sailing characteristics. Only owner(bought new) and loved the way she sailed and looked. Now to replace her. I have not sailed on any of the newer models (mast struts, no back stays, etc.) Plan on attending a few boat shows. Would appreciate any comments on the new Hunters esp. if you have experience with the 37.5 for comparison. Thanks

Used 37.5?

Hi Steve, Why not a used 37.5? I've seen but not sailed the new Hunter 38's. I like mine better. Gary Wyngarden S/V Wanderlust H37.5

My choice.

My choice would be based on first sailing both boats, a new H38 and a good used 37.5. You liked yours but sail the new one first. Then sail the one you thought was your only love. I think you need the reminder when so much is at stake. For an old purist like me how she sails is followed closely by how she looks. I don't think Hunter ever made a boat with nicer lines than the Legends.
