OK, so here it is, I have a 1993 Hunter H 19 with a swing keel, I had some fiberglass work done on it and now the keel line doesn't seem to want to lift the keel. I believe they did not route the line around the forward guide block or sheave when they reinstalled it.
I'm also pretty sure that the prior owner replaced the line with the wrong type and size line, as it doesn't even fit the cam-cleat and barely fits through the mast base plate opening.
Questions:
What is the correct diameter and type of line that I should use for the keel retract?
Are there any modifications or suggestions to make hauling up the keel easier?
Are there replacement sheaves for the retracting line; at the pin or turning block down around the DWL in the trunk and the 2" diameter centerboard uphaul sheave and on deck to route the line to the cockpit?
