1992 Hunter 27 OB ?

Good Morning from Alabama,

I am on my way to the lake to look at a 1992 Hunter 27 OB. It has been a while since I've been on the water (last boat Cat 25 1980). Any suggestions as to any issues with the 92 h27 that I should pay attention to? I believe the price is right @ sub 5k so I expect to see a few problems. Thanks Steve

Interesting, did not know that inboard/outboard was an option. But I see that in the pictures. That should provide a lot more interior space. Depending upon where you sail the o/b version shoul be adequate. Have you read the Owner Reviews?

Thanks Ed, found the review page just before I left for the lake. The boat was in fair condition but has not been out of the slip in 5 yrs, the usual mildew smell and a lot of cleaning and maintance needed. Steve

I have the 1990 inboard version. If the hull and rig are sound and you can get it for under $5K it would seem like a pretty good deal. Mine was in Saltwater for 18 years and has not shown me any serious issues since buiying it and moving it to the Finger Lakes 2 years ago. Pretty solid little boat with comfortable accomodations and it sails nicely. I would recommend it.
