Hey Folks, Well after almost a year of searching I think i have found the perfect C-30 for me. She is a 1991 fully loaded and they are asking 41,000 for her. I have one question, the engine in the boat was rebuilt last year. They said they broke the stem for the "Dip Stick" and oil leaked. The calimed this was do to the plastics used on that part of the engine. (MX -25) What do you guys think, are the telling the truth on this one and is the rebuild a friend or foe and is the price about right. Any other comments on the c-30 would be a help before i pick a surveyer. Jim

It's in the range

Sounds like the price is within reason, although the higher side of the range according to NADA. But it sounds like it has all the goodies, which would make it worth more. I wouldn't be afraid of a rebuilt engine. Have fun! LaDonna

Story sounds odd

Seems unlikely to break the dipstick to me, sounds like more to it than that. I'd want to talk to whoever rebuilt the engine and what was actually done before plunking my money down. Price seems good if the engine is in great shape.
