Lets talk about ideas for better access to the batteries. Those of us who are over size 36" waist and 42" chest (smile) have a problem accessing the batteries through the cocpit seats. I have a thought, what do you think about cutting a hole from the aft birth area and installing a seal tight after market hatch/door on each side for battery access and fuel tank/pump out areas? Would this cause a structural integrity problem by cutting the bulkhead and if so how could we reinforce/strengthen the bulkhead if necessary? Love the boat however we must find resolution to this issue without holding the first mate by the heels, head first into the locker. Makes for a most unpleasasnt sail!
