Hi everyone, looking for some basic information and knowledge. I have been looking at a couple of 1988-1990 30G models and have found one that I would like to move on. Having read several threads about repairs and maintenance that owners usually do and the price of this boat I am looking at the next step of getting a professional survey done.
What specific info do I need to know about this model range of boats? Hull problems? Rigging issues? I fully understand that purchasing a used boat 25 years old will always entail certain repairs but I have the chance to purchase this boat and not break the bank. Any and all advice from current or past owners would be appreciated. It looks like a great boat and what I have been trying to find. I have previously owned a Newport 27, Catalina Capri 25 and many small sailboats. I will be sailing on a lake in Oklahoma so ocean and blue water sailing is not on the radar. The boat has been salt water in its past.
