Thanks to all who advised on how to install stereo system--we opted to not make any new holes in the boat and put the CD/radio inside a cabinet and used box speakers that can be moved around--it worked just great. The question I have now is regarding the cushion configuration when making the table into a bed. I assumed when we bought the boat that the existing settee cushions would fit into the table to make into a bed & have found that they don't. Am I missing something or was the original owner holding out on us? He said he wasn't aware that it made into a bed but I have since found a crack underneath the table indicating that it has been used for that--not important now but I would like to know whether there was a special cushion intended for this purpose.. Thanks for all your help! This is a great boat!

The dinette does make into a double berth. Just lift up on the table and remove the tube used for the table leg. Your'e on your own as far as the cushions go. I've never been able to figure out the right conbination either, but usually its my 13 yr. old that sleeps there and she's not real particular about things like that. I think we have thrown cushion backs from the side settee into the mix as well. And yes. they are great boats at about 1/2 the cost of the newer 33.5s and 336s, but let's not rub it in.

Trapezoid cushion

My '92 has a trapezoid cushion which appears to fit the space when the table is dropped down. Haven't needed to try it yet (first year with boat) Steve Walker

33.5 Interior Configuration

Steve, As far as I can tell, my '88H33.5 table does not convert to a bed. There is a metal pedestal appx. 5" in diameter with a large flange at each end that attaches to the sole at one end and to the underside of the table at the other end. There is no provision for lowereing the table for a bed. I just removed the table last weekend to facillitate refinishing the sole.

Table into bed setup

Hi--thanks, again but just in case you're not familiar, there are flanges on the side where the table attaches to the starboard side of the cabin (on our boat, anyway) and the middle tube the table sits on comes up & out so the table can lay in between the 2 benches. We also have edges on our table that clearly fit into the side benches--maybe some models are different. I'm probably going to buy an inflatable mattress or have a cushion made to fit eventually but we generally have plenty of sleeping space even w/o the table--I love it! Thanks for all the response!
