1988 Hunter 28.5 Masthead Sheaves

I want to replace the masthead sheaves on my 1988 Hunter 28.5. I looked in the boat store catalogs and could not find a fit. The sheaves need to be 1/2 inch in width and be able to accomodate up to 7/16 inch line. Also would like any tips on how to remove and install.

Mast Head Sheaves

Do you think there bad or just need cleaning? I have a 1987 31' and have never replaced just inspected and cleaned. We also race the boat which uses them to the max! Because they are covered and not exposed to the sun they last a very long time.

I also have question about masthead sheaves

I have a 1987 28.5 with a Kenyon mast and I want to know what the sheave configuraton is at the top of the mast. At the base of the mast, there are four exit sheave, two on each side. I assume then that there is room for a spare main halyard and a spare jib halyard. I cannot see from below. Does anyone kown what the top of my mast looks like???Kenny Logsdon H28.5 "St Somewhere"

Yes, you can run two more Haylards. One forward & Aft. Very nice system up there. Should be serviced ever few years especially if you sail a lot or in salt water.
