To the best of my knowledge, prop shafts vary due to minor differences in the hull and must be made to fit. You may find the following article from CD helpful. I had a Catalina with a bronze shaft I assumed needed replacement but on removal it was straight, true and without wear at the bearing points.

With an expensive purchase like that, you would NEVER trust someone else's shaft length and wind up 1" short. And still without a useable replacement.

Even if the boat is so far away you can't do it yourself, get someone else (maybe a diver if the boat's in the water) to do it and direct them live on something like Facetime on your phone.

The most accurate way is to remove the existing shaft and measure it. Note that some props require the end of a standard shaft to be trimmed. Thus, if you have such a prop, like a MaxProp, the shaft that is order must be longer. Once the shaft is removed, send a photo of the prop end, we can advise you if the shaft has been trimmed. Also, get a new split coupling and have the shaft and coupling fit and faced.
