I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
My uncle is in the same ancorage as I am and his ancor light is DOA. The bulb has been blown. What type of bulb would be in the light (it is the factor light and it doesn't have a raised fixture so the light sets just on the masthead)? He wants to get an LED lightbulb to replace the old one and we want to get it before I crank him up the mast to the top (sorry but I am being a bit lazy on this one). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

B-O - I sure have trouble typing that...

your uncle really needs to join the C34 IA and keep learning. The answer is that he NEEDS to know which manufacturer of the anchor light is. Usually Perko, but we don't know what hull # he has or the year of the boat, do we? Many of us have replaced the anchor lights with Davis Mega Lights or abandoned them altogether for kerosene lamps on the backstay. Also, he should know what steaming/deck light he has on his boat. It's usually either Forespar or Aqua Signal. If he has a pair of binoculars and can see the mast, with a WM catalog, he should be able to tell the difference. Then, his choice is to buy a whole new fixture or replace the cover part, which is what we did recently. Please, send him to www.c34.org and the Forum/then/Message Board. Unless you wanna keep doing it FOR him forever. If he can't type, have him call me, I'd love to help and even let him know where other C34's are in his area. Besides, in spite of this post, we're usually very helpful...:):):)

I think that he is a member

His boat is a 1988. It is named Finally II. I have to ask him the hull number. He asked me to post this because we are out on a cruise and I have internet...he doesn't. This is just a good thing to have for many reasons.

No Finally II in our membership

database. Good idea to use your internet connection, thanks for asking. I recommend he procure a separate kerosene or other solar powered anchor light which could be used at deck level. NOT to open up THIS argument again...please, don't....................
