1987 Oday Manual

O DAY 27 LE philadelphia pa
I am looking for some info. I just bought a 1987 272LE Oday. It looks great. Everything seems O.K. except the former owner did not have a owner's manual. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to get one ? Any help will be welcome. Thanks

Good question, and we get this a lot. Have you tried a Google search? And one on this website. In many cases, you will find someone who has asked the same question and actually received an answer and obtained links to get what you're looking for.

Good luck, and maybe some one with your boat will read this and have one.

Also, in many cases you may find an Owner's Association, so try a search on "272LE Oday"

Not much help with the manual. We sailed a 272, standard model, tiller-steered for 10 years. If memory serves, the LE is wheel-steered with a different color scheme, not the usual off-white with blue trim. We enjoyed the boat, but, believe it or not, the Admiral wanted a BIGGER boat. 'nuf said.
We sail a Catalina 30 since '04. I see 272's occasionally and still think it is a pretty boat which sails and singlehands well. I wrote a review of ours years ago which may still be in the boat reviews. Want to chat about it sometime, send me an e-mail. I may be able to dig up the name of a source for parts. The name Rudy comes to mind, and I think he is located somewhere in Mass. Enjoy!!
