I'am looking for any and all information about 30' Newports. Are they solid boats. Worth buying, or should I continue looking. Thanks Rick

What are you trying to do with the boat?
Hello, I'm not an expert, but IMHO, the Newport 30 is very similar to most 'production' boats, like Catalina 30, S2 9.2A, Islander 30, O'Day 30, etc. Also, IMHO, the interior is nicer than Catalina, the gear better than O'day. Good luck, Barry

what are you looking for?
What are your plans as far as sailing goes, is this for a lake,or the ocean? you can get a broucher on every 30'boat made and then just sort thru them. For me the boat is just what I need, single hander, daysail on the Niagara River and trips on the Great Lakes.
