The paint on my tube type Signet instrument holders is getting real ratty. This is the original 'cruise pack' that came with the boat when new. The coating on them now is almost like a kind of plastic. I don't thing it's PowderCoat. Has anyone re-painted theirs? If so, what did you use and how well did it work?? Any help will be appreciated.

Nothing came with the boat!

Gil: These boats did not come with any insturments. The dealers had an allowance and they installed whatever they wanted. If it is a plastic type coating it probably is powder coating. I do not think I would spend very much money on 20 year old instruments. Why don't you just get some Krylon and try that. If they crap out next year you will only be out about $3.00.

I repainted mine (1985 h-31) two years ago. Went to the hardware store and bought a can of Rustolem, light sanding, then two coats. Looks brand new today

I appreciate your responses. Think I'll try the Rustoleum since Bob got good results with it.
