I have bought the 1986 catalina 25, fixed keel, and have no manual for it. Can anyone copy me a manual for this boat? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Walt

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am still in desperate need for a copy of a manual for my Catalina 25. Can you help me? Maybe I dunno how to work this system yet?

I surely want to thank you for the copy of the manual. I really appreciate it. it is starting to make sense of the boat I got. I can hardly wait to get started now.
Gratefully,
Walt

I now have the manual! Thanks so much. Has anyone owned a pre 1988 Catalina 25 and retrofitted it with a binnacle and wheel, instead of the tiller?
Thanks!
Walt

Leave the tiller.

Walt, Leave the tiller and lean to sail with it. On a boat of this size the tiller is the best system and will allow you a better feel for the boat.
The best advise I ever received on sailing was to sail the boat for a year before changing any major systems.
Start with all safety issues and items, then go sailing, and sailing and then some more sailing. Now you are ready to reconsider the question of tiller vs. wheel.
Enjoy your boat.
