Hello,

I needed to move my holding tank slightly in order to run some new electrical wiring to my mast. Unfortunately I made a mistake while running new poly strapping and lost the way to feed the left hand line around the tank. So the situation I have now is the holding tank is only being secured by the right had poly strapping.

My question, what is below the holding tank? If I were to remove the tank, would it be possible for me to run new a new poly strap around whatever is beneath the tank so that I can have two straps securing the tank as the original configuration?

Thanks,

Chris

here is a picture from another forum member showing the grid underneath the holding tank. The fore and aft area between the holes in the sole kooks to be clear, but kinda deep. You might be able to enlerge the holes a little and using a fish tape carrying a messenger line, you may be able to pull the messenger through the hole, then use the messenger line to pull strapping or just a piece of line to tie the tank down.. You'd have to remove the settee base to get at it, but that is not a bad job; requiring a screwdriver extension of about 18" . The other picture is with the settee base removed.

Here is a pix of the secton of floor in the 34 dinette area. You can see on the upper right corner that the floor extend to the starboard side. The holding tank is actually secured with the staps attached to the floor underneat. Removing the settee is fairly easy with a screwdriver extension as explained by Kloudie. Good luck

Thanks everyone, super helpful. The settee screws are completely corroded so screwdriver is not an option. Gonna need to get either a dremel in there and cut a slot in them, or try to get them out another way, the holding tank is gonna need to come out to get access to the screw.
