1985 Hunter 34 Bilge Confusion

I continually have problems with water in the bilge. This year there a little oil, probably from some that I spilled last fall while laying up the boat engine. I turn the bilge pump on, and it gets pumped out. Within a short time, the bilge is half full again. Last year it had the smell of hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs). I use bilge cleaner. It is almost as though there is water laying under the bilge and seeps in through a hole in the bilge or through the screw holes that hold the pump. Over time, the level gets low enough that it no longer gets back in to the bilge until a rain or something and by then it has turned sour and the rising level allows it to seep back into the bilge. Any help is appreciated. epola73922@aol.com

Oh, yes...the H34 bilge

Same problem my friend. Go to the photo forum to see the actual layout of this pan/sump/bilge. Very strange! Use the hole in the sole where your table sits to flush the area out. Use a wet/dry vac to pump this out. I think Hunter should make this standard equipment when one purchases a H34.
