1985 31' O'Day Wind Speed Instruments

I have a 1985 31' O'Day Sloop. The connection to my Edson instruments on my benacle was lost when my neighbors mast hit mine as a result of some bimbo power boater going to fast to close to my marina. I believe
the wire at the top of the mast was tied off by the marina service dept.
As I mentioned, I have Edson instruments. Does anyone out there know
how I can fix this and what parts I need?

Do you know what power boat did that, and do you have witnesses? The owner of the power boat is responsible for this damage and you should have your insurance company go after them if you have eyewitnesses. Also, can you post photos of the instruments. Last I checked, Edson didn't make wind instruments. While the pedastal and instrument housings may be made by Edson, I doubt the instruments are.

Yes I did know who was at the helm of the power boat and had witnesses but that didn't work out for a few reasons out of my control.

The markings on the instruments are Edson so I haven't a clue who is the maker of the gut's.

That's a shame. Have you opened the pod the instruments are mounted to, as they may say who makes them on the back side.
