Do others with a 26' have a headliner? Mine doesn't but may be nice for occasional head hits at 5' 11". My wife is lucky at 5' tall.

You mean beyond the normal fiberglass liner? Not from the factory.

Remember that anything you do inside the boat will REDUCE the existing headroom. Builder were VERY loathe to do that in small boats where fractions of an inch matter. It may make it softer, but there will be less of it.

Agree Jack however, those of us who are bald can relate. I know I will continually hit my head on the liner and would prefer to not look like Gorbachev and would rather give up the 1/8'th inch of carpet liner than to have that head look! I always wear a Halo Headband which protects from soft hits but not hard hits.

Sailrite sells the materials to get it done:

The 26 comes with a molded headliner, not cloth. I'm about the same height as you and have to tilt my head a bit to walk around inside but my biggest issue is the light in the main cabin. Being hunched over a bit to walk around, my head is tilted down and I always forget (and don't see) about the light fixture, always bumping into it.

I always thought he looked a bit like Mars.
