1984 Hunter 31 SD Measured PHRF rateing

Has anyone had there Hunter 31 Shoal Draft measured for a PHRF rateing? What is your measured rateing? My local Lake Michigan rateing with a feathering prop is 162 which seems a little low. I was wondering if it is worth the expense of having the boat measured in hopes of a higher rateing?

On Lake Erie you would have a 171. It seems all the Great Lake PHRF have ther own system and reasons for ther number's. It goes on wind and lake conditions and other variables. It would be worth a phone call and ask why the difference between Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. Getting the boat measured is an option and I would be very interested in the results. We race against a 31 with out 28.5 deep keel and the 31 does very well sometimes. If ther is any upwind stuff because of the shoal keel on the 31 we clobber him. His boat is well prepared and has new North 3DL sail's and he is a very good sailor.Cliff

Chesapeake Bay Rating

Jim, my H34 has a 162 PHRF on the Chesapeake Bay from the previous owner. I am resubmitting for a revision because they have my ballast weight too light by over 1,000 pounds.
