Ideally, the edge of my boat.
You can see where a previous owner let the bow line rub through the fiberglass on the edge of my deck/bow (sse attached pictures); I really like what the boat owner in the pictures did to protect his.

I'm not entirely sure what the proper term is, but if a rub rail is designed to protect the bow, that's what I'm looking for.
Sailboats are made in such low numbers that it usually doesnt make sense for a manufacturer to make something for a specific model. The rub strake that was mentioned earlier or some angled metal would probably be your best bets. You'll of course want to dull the edge if using angled metal

Thank you; I appreciate your insight.

Our prior boat pulpit design wasn't well thought out such that the chain caused unnecessary damage to the deck area while anchoring. I’m assuming this is your problem more so than the rub strake coaming section.

The most effective solution we found was to cover that area with a SS plate. Unfortunately, I can’t find pictures but it covered the area shown in your pictures.

I appreciate your thoughts on this; thank you. If you do happen to come across pictures of SS plate in use, please consider forwarding them; I'd really like to put this damage-issue to rest for good.

At the risk of sounding dumb, I'm not sure I understand your comment. The pictures I initially posted are not from my boat; only the pictures showing damage is my boat.
Got it. The pics you posted showed, what I assume is line damage. The line damage looks like it occurred when the bow sprit chocks were used. If the chocks further aft, on the bow/deck were used, it probably would not have caused any damage. I'm not sure if this is the same on your boat

Thanks; that's a sound observation; I will look at it closer. I'm a novice sailer and learning much!!

Are you in a slip? Or at anchor/mooring? Is that when the damage occurs?

Where are your deck cleats in relation to those chocks? (need a picture showing the whole bow).

Hi; the damage occurred before I purchased the boat; this said, I know that the previous owner kept the boat on a mooring; I've also kept the boat on a mooring. To me, the damage seems consistent with having occured while on a mooring.

As requested, I've attached a couple of pictures showing the whole bow/deck area:

Why not run the anchor/mooring line off of the anchor roller? Then the line will only rub on the SS roller.

That seems like a quick solution to prevent damage to the bow.
