I need to replace my pedestal (corrosion), and as Merriman is no more, need to use Edson. Am trying to get specs from them and they want to know "length of chain and length/diameter of cable (wire)". Before puling the chain, anyone have this info, or already replaced a pedestal? Any info appriciated. Thanks

to the boat but, how about asking them if ANYONE with a H34, of which there are about a THOUSAND boats, has ever bought a replacement pedestal from their company? And if that info is searchable on their computer? I'm trying to be facetious and condescending here. (To Edson, NOT you.) I hope that you are getting my tone of voice. That is an absolutely ridiculous requirement. Back in the 70s YS had patterns for a thousand boats on file. Kits were pre-speced. I called them up and said "send a kit to me for my new Ericson 29 Mark II. They said "how big a wheel"? That's all. It was complete and perfect. That was '76.
